A memorial book can be set up at the entrance of the funeral venue for people to sign as a record of their attendance. Useful for families who like to write and say thank you.
We’ve suggested to families who are hosting at home, days before the funeral, to have a book available for visitors, the comments tend to be more considered (less rushed). The book is then brought to the funeral, already filled with kind sentiments and anecdotes.
The book can be available after the funeral too, at the ‘cup of tea’ or back at home for those who couldn’t attend.
Blank Cards
As an alternative, we can supply A7 size blank cards (150mm x 75mm). We encourage people to take a card and write a thoughtful message during the funeral and pop it in the box as they leave.
(While a convention, a book is optional and some families admit to never referring to them).
